Justice O'Connor Congratulates DIHAR Victor
Back in December, Above The Law challenged its readers to a game of Do I Have a Right?. Almost 7,500 players accepted, and the tournament eventually ended in a tie between sports lawyer David Cohen and an anonymous individual who didn't want to give folks the impression that "he spends all his time [in the office] playing DIHAR.”
The Our Courts project, which includes the game Do I Have a Right?, was imagined by retired Justice Sandra Day O' Connor, who was happy to congratulate participants when the tournament concluded.
"I want to congratulate the winners of the Our Courts – Above the Law Tournament," said Justice O'Connor. "I was thrilled by the participation and interest in our game. It just goes to show that even trained lawyers can always use a refresher course in middle school civics."
Along with some additional civics cred, the winners will be featured as characters in a future Our Courts game.
