Inquiry & Engagement
Citizen Science is still early in the design phase, but has already yielded a lot of interesting design questions. Luckily, Matt Gaydos (our design intern for the project) has been on the job of providing answers. I just sit back in a lawn chair and ponder clever criticisms to keep him moving. We've spent a lot of time hammering on the overlap between civic engagement and scientific inquiry. Our goal is to get people involved in local issues that shape their public space, and to do so by empirically defining and testing theories about how the world works. This two part goal suggests that our game's hero is defined not only by their skill in science, but also by their ability to engage people with scientific arguments in order to make the world a better place.
Pff. That sounds easy! Get to it, Matt!
