Spotlight on DIHAR
Last December reporter Josh Karp gave some of the Our Courts games a whirl, including Do I Have a Right?. He went on to post his reaction at Spotlight on Digital Media and Learning, musing, among other things, about flustered clients and flexibility in educational games.
Inundated with clients, Karp's DIHAR? law firm (Karp and Freepress, natch) juggled hordes of clients who felt their first or thirteenth amendment rights had been violated as Karp struggled to keep his cool:
Though I hired new lawyers with different specialties, I found myself desperately trying to figure out whether each case had a constitutional issue, and then trying to remember which of my attorneys, if any, knew enough to handle the case. The results weren’t pretty.
Karp acknowledged not only the challenges of running a successful DIHAR? law firm, but those of educating students about law and civics in a way that is relevant to their lives.
