Have you ever wanted to make your own alien invaders? In Eco Defenders, you can! Eco Defenders explores how animals in an ecological system rely on each other for food, compete for resources, and defend themselves against predators - and how easily that system can be disrupted. Design your own creature to invade one of three hypothetical habitats: forest, swamp, or grassland. Choose big teeth, armor, and camouflage to help them succeed and ward off predators! Release your creatures and watch them flourish or fail!
Eco Defenders was created in partnership with the JASON Project and features well-known specialist Dr. Russell Cuhel. It introduces students to the basic concepts of ecology, biology, adaptation, niches, and habitats as part of a larger science curriculum. Students will learn about predator and prey relationships, ecological niches, animal adaptations and defenses by designing their own invasive species and introducing it into a habitat of their choosing. Students can unlock new challenges, experiment between different scenarios, and interact with Dr. Cuhel by answering questions about their experiments.
