About the Game

Cell Command is a cell biology learning game aligned to middle school science standards. Shrink down to a microscopic size and captain a cell ship, leading your intrepid crew into the human body. Manage DNA duplication and other cellular processes of critical cell structures including the membrane, mitochondria, golgi complex, and ribosomes.

Learning Objectives

  • Investigate, understand, and explain cell theory.
  • Identify the structures and functions of major animal cell organelles.
  • Relate the structure of a specialized cell to the function which that cell performs.
  • Describe the functions performed by cells needed to sustain a living organism.

Curriculum

Filament Learning curriculum is aligned to Next Generation Science Standards, Common Core State Standards, and Benchmarks for Science Literacy. Each supplemental curriculum unit includes a Teacher's Guide with discussion activities, workshops, labs, and assessments. Students follow along with the included Student Guide, which allows for seamless communication between the lessons and the gameplay.

Teacher Dashboard

Check in on student progress with the Teacher Dashboard, which gives you visibility into which learning objectives your students have encountered, serving as a real-time assessment tool. If your students are stuck at any given point, the Teacher Dashboard will tell you where, so you can provide just-in-time intervention when your students need it most.
