Serein

Serein is a Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy game that takes cancer patients on an adventure across the Land of Meaning to connect to their own experiences through life. Players take on the role of a bird, assisting their companions in reopening the Gate of Meaning. All the while, users relate the features of the landscape to sources of meaning in their own life by sharing stories and completing challenges. Users identify their own courage, limitations, identity, and more. Along the way, they’ll also speak with their chosen Guide Bird, an AI conversation bot, to provide real-time, customized responses based on each exercise. The Guide Bird provides advice and perspective on their situation and experiences.
