We build and remediate interactive learning games that meet WCAG 2.1 AA and the DOJ's 2027 and 2028 federal deadlines, with the play left fully intact.

When a learning game runs on a canvas, the browser sees one big rectangle. Every button, menu, and interaction inside of that rectangle is invisible to a screen reader, so the whole experience reads as a black box. Off-the-shelf overlays and automated scanners can't touch it, because there's nothing in the markup for them to read.
Getting an interactive product to WCAG 2.1 AA takes engineering that reaches inside the game itself. We do that with FUAT, our proprietary technology for creating and retrofitting WCAG-compliant Unity and canvas-based games. Because FUAT already exists and has been through real audits, your remediation starts on proven ground, and the work stays at the interface layer so your mechanics and art keep playing exactly as designed.
Accessibility work stays at the level of the interface and the controls. Your mechanics, your art, and the way students play all stay in place, so you meet the standard with the same game you designed.
An audit only counts when the auditor is hired independently, and we work alongside yours from the start. We help identify failure criteria during the design phase, so issues get caught early and cost less to fix.
We collaborate with your independent auditor from the design phase to identify failure criteria early, then run summative audits, so issues get caught and fixed along the way.
FUAT is our own engineering, refined across real publisher audits. You get a technical head start and a team that has already solved the hard parts of interactive accessibility.
Filament Games provides end-to-end accessibility services for interactive learning, powered by FUAT, our own technology for making Unity and canvas-based games conformant. We work from design through audit and launch.
Book a call with our Chief Partnership Officer and we'll review where your product stands, map out what conformance takes, and give you an estimate, all at no cost. The 2027 and 2028 deadlines are closer than they look, so the sooner we talk, the more runway you have.
