Welcome back to the Game-based Learning Review! This week, Dan and Brandon start the stream by sorting out some audio leveling issues with help from chat (yes, again). They then move into their pre-game segments with a tricky round of Filament Fours and a pitch for a cell biology dating simulator. After a quick recap of last week’s RoboCo wins, they return to the early 2010s to play one of Filament’s classic educational titles, Crazy Plant Shop.
In Crazy Plant Shop, players rent a storefront from a landlord named Gregor Mendel and breed plants with specific traits to fill customer orders. Dan and Brandon brush up on Punnett squares as they combine dominant and recessive traits to meet each request while keeping the rent paid. Tune in to see whether they can breed a heterozygous plant and win the county fair.
