This interview takes place in the backdrop of the Games for Change (G4C) Festival, which, in case you haven’t heard of it before, is an annual conference in New York City that showcases games, technology, and immersive experiences. The festival features over 100 sessions across four programming tracks: Games for Learning, Civics and Social Issues, Health and Wellness, and XR for Change.

David’s work is dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ teens and youth of color through catalyzing digital solutions in the realms of edtech, social tech, and digital health systems. Over the past five years, he has collaborated with changemakers and power holders to create digital spaces and experiences where young people can thrive. Impressively, these initiatives, (such as the Headstream Accelerator, Rooted and Rising Collective, and Youth 2 Innovator programs) have reached over 3 million youth globally.
